One of the most exciting WWE events of the year is the annual Royal Rumble. It begins with two wrestlers to start the match and then another wrestler comes in every 90 seconds afterward. The event traditionally features about 30 wrestlers, celebrity guests and entertainers.
Online sportsbook Bovada has released WWE Royal Rumble odds on both the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble, with Daniel Bryan the +110 betting favorite to win on the men’s side and Bianca Belair the +175 favorite to win on the women’s side.

Who to Like on the Men’s Side?
There are a lot of big names on the men’s side as possible winners of the 2021 Royal Rumble. A few names that stick out are Brock Lesner with WWE Royal Rumble odds of +800 and Goldberg at +2000. Both behemoths are certainly capable of wiping out multiple guys in just a few seconds.
One of the things that’s important to consider with the Royal Rumble is a wrestler’s entry number. Last year Drew McIntyre won the event entering in the 16th spot and on the women’s side, Charlotte Flair won it from the 17th spot. The WWE usually has its winner coming from the middle or near the end of the entry list. So while there will be a lot of excitement and entertainment generated by the early entries, look for the winner to come from the 15-25 spot.
Lesner hasn’t fought in the WWE since he relinquished his title to McIntyre in WrestleMania 36, which took place in March 2020. The WWE likes to have some surprises with the Rumble and bringing Lesner back into the fold could be a huge deal.
Goldberg was away from the company for 12 years before returning in 2016 to win the WWE Universal Championship for the first time. He won it again back in February but hasn’t been back since he lost to Braun Strowman in WrestleMania 36.
Best Value Picks
Back in 2001, the Rumble had one of the strangest entries in The Price is Right host Drew Carey. Carey didn’t last long but it was a surprise to everyone watching the show. I doubt there will be any celebrities to join the fray in 2021 due to COVID-19, but one person who might show up is Dwayne Johnson, who has WWE Royal Rumble winner odds of +3300.
Johnson was known as “The Rock” over his time in the WWE before blossoming into the mega-movie superstar he is now. He hasn’t been part of the WWE since WrestleMania 32 in 2016, so it would be a bit of a shock to see him in it, let alone win it.
One other notable name on the list is Finn Balor at +6600 WWE Royal Rumble betting odds. Balor is a fan favorite but has been off the show for most of 2020 as he needed to recharge his batteries. He would be one of those examples of a wrestler coming into the event that people might not be expecting and coming away with a win to kick-start his career again.

Who to Like on the Women’s Side?
There are a few names that stick out on the women’s side. First, Ronda Rousey is near the top of the WWE Royal Rumble oddsboard at +1600. Rousey hasn’t fought since WrestleMania 35 back in April 2019, so it’s a bit of a shock to see her name so high up on the oddsboard.
Rousey was known as one of the toughest female UFC fighters in the world, setting the record for most UFC title defenses by a woman with six. In 2018, she signed on with the WWE and was the Raw women’s champion for a while.
The other name that is noteworthy is Charlotte Flair at +600 WWE Royal Rumble odds. Flair is the daughter of Hall of Famer Ric Flair but has carved out a pretty successful career of her own in the WWE.
Flair is also the reigning champion from last year. With Becky Lynch off due to the birth of her first child, Flair could be in the spotlight to win it yet again. She has been away from the WWE for most of the year following surgery, and the Rumble would be the perfect time to make a return.
